BIG KAISER Precision Tooling Inc. (Hoffman Estates, IL) redesigned one of their most popular tools on bigkaser.com: the manuals, DXF and STEP (STP) Search. These improvements make finding 2D and 3D data and specific product manuals easier. As users type a catalog number into the search field, a drop-down menu will display available DXF, STP and manuals. The tool can be found here.
“After gathering feedback from our customers, the tool was completely redesigned for the North American market,” said engineering manager Alan Miller. “The hope is that making both DXF and STP models available online helps customers to work a little faster and make their day-to-day jobs easier.” DXF standard allows customers to combine products from multiple companies with unified layer structures. The STP standard keeps things simple for program simulation. DXF access is open to anyone but STP downloads will require a login (application link on download page).
