LiftMat™ low profile lift tables from Southworth Products Corp. (Portland, ME) have a lowered height of just 3¼ in, substantially lower than conventional lift tables. With a focus on ergonomics, these lift tables increase productivity and improve worker safety in a wide range of industrial applications. Ideally suited for palletizing, the LiftMat gives workers unobstructed access to all four sides of a palletized load. As boxes are added or removed, the platform is raised or lowered to the most comfortable height with a powered foot switch or a hand-held push-button remote. The need for bending and stretching is eliminated, reducing worker fatigue and minimizing the risk of injuries. To increase worker productivity to even higher levels, some units can be equipped with an optional turntable that sits essentially flush to the platform and allows users to spin the load so they can remain in one position throughout the entire loading and unloading process. A rotational lock prevents the turntable from spinning when not use.
The lift’s capacity is 2,200 lb with a raised height of 31.5 in. A full-perimeter toe guard stops downward travel if the lift comes in contact with any obstruction. An optional ramp allows workers to load and unload the platform with a hand pallet jack, making the LiftMat ideal for use in areas that can’t be accessed by a forklift or in forklift-free facilities. To achieve its low 3¼ in height, the lift features an external power unit that comes pre-wired with a cord and plug for 115V power. Platforms sizes from 24 in x 60 in up to 48 in x 96 in are available.
Southworth also offers the SwiftLift™ program that maximizes the availability of an unprecedented number of lift tables and vertical lifting and positioning equipment for fast delivery. It combines the thoughtful application of modern engineering, materials planning, and manufacturing technology to go well beyond any other availability program in the industry. SwiftLift puts LS Series hydraulic lift tables and other equipment, such as PalletPal® pallet positioners and E-Z Reach™ container tilters, into three categories of availability: Stock, Modified and Modified+, with maximum shipping lead times of one, two or three weeks respectively.
Offerings in the Stock Product category include over 65 lift table, level loader and container tilter models for shipment in one week or less. Modified Products include all the items in the stock category, plus the ability to modify lift tables in one-inch increments to include any platform size up to 72 in x 96 in, as well as several popular options. Lift configurations in the Modified category number well over a thousand and ship in two weeks or less. Modified Plus Products include an even greater number of available options and even offer the opportunity for users to specify some light customization of lifts. Modified Plus Products ship in three weeks or less. With an experienced engineering group, Southworth continues to provide custom lift equipment, but with SwiftLift, most shops can often get exactly what they need without the wait associated with a custom engineered solution.
