Simonds Saw has stopped making Dieband, Blockbuster, and Broadband, IC Enduro, and X51 bandsaw blades and is replacing them with four new bimetal products: the Epic GP (general purpose), two SBX (structural blade extreme) blades, and the SiClone XP, which replaces the X51.

Simonds Saw (Fitchburg, MA) has stopped making Dieband, Blockbuster, and Broadband, IC Enduro, and X51 bandsaw blades and is replacing them with four new bimetal products.

  • The Epic GP (general purpose) replaces the Dieband, Broadband, and Blockbuster for single and bundle-cutting of solid and tube materials.
  • Two SBX (structural blade extreme) blades designed to cut structural steel cross sections without pinching replace the Broadband and IC Enduro. SBX GP features reinforced teeth and new tooth pitches for cutting shapes, tubes, and bundles. SBX ONE cuts beams, profiles, and large cross sections more quietly. High-performance backer steel resists wear in extreme conditions.
  • The SiClone XP replaces the X51 for cutting Inconel, D2, stainless steel, Monel, and other exotic alloys. Designed for steel service centers and production cutting, the blade’s 8% cobalt high-speed-steel teeth are laser-welded to premium backing steel to increase wear resistance. Oversize blade width increases beam strength.
