The E-SHAPE machine can perform tapering, flaring, closing, facing, cutting and more to produce repeatable end forms, finish and quality.

BLM GROUP USA (Novi, Mich) introduces’s E-SHAPE, a compact, all-electric CNC tube end forming machine with a punch table that works horizontally—eliminating interference from overhead structures.  Set up for 10 processing stations, the E-Shape can be freely equipped with ram stations, rotary and/or cutting tools, enabling users to configure the machine in a way that best meets their job needs.

Offering 10 tons of force, the E-SHAPE yields quality complex shapes and end forming in thick-walled materials or stainless steel. It can perform tapering, flaring, closing, facing, cutting and more to produce repeatable end forms, finish and quality.

The E-SHAPE also offers features such as single punch advancement and variable length strokes that help to optimize cycle times without trade-offs. Additionally, fitting an orbital cutting device on the E-SHAPE eliminates the need for a secondary cut off operation that would typically require special fixturing to position a bent part for forming. The E-SHAPE also offers an automatic consecutive head-to-tail operation to process both ends of the tube.

The E-SHAPE also features a user-friendly interface that is easy to learn and use—particularly when programming job sequences. Users simply select the desired punch and the program will define the most appropriate default settings based on the tool.

This all-electric machine offers quiet and clean operation with major energy savings as well as maximum repeatability and reliability, easy setup and low maintenance.
