Discover Fiber Laser Cutting’s Full Potential

Bystronic Next Generation BySmart Fiber Laser cutting system bridges performance with affordability.

Posted: January 27, 2020

A key customer benefit: BySmart Fiber's machine platform delivers up to four times faster cutting speeds than CO2 or plasma, and uses less than half the operating costs per hour.

The market for sheet metal processing is growing, with an increasing demand for new technologies. Fabricators rely on manufacturing solutions that allow sheet metal parts to be processed as efficiently as possible and at the same time with high quality.

With this in mind, Bystronic (Elgin, IL) developed the Next Generation BySmart Fiber laser cutting machine. Built from the ground up to meet the demands from high-speed Fiber laser cutting, the new laser cutting system opens up the full potential of Fiber laser technology to fabricators who want to gain a competitive edge with innovative cutting technology.

The Next Generation BySmart Fiber focuses on the core competency of a Fiber laser: laser-cutting parts in the most simple, quickest and cost-effective manner possible at an affordable price. New machine platform meets the demands from higher Fiber laser powers with the lowest possible operating costs and low maintenance requirements thanks to state-of-the-art Bystronic technology. Available in the 3015 machine format with a choice of either a Fiber 2000, Fiber 3000, Fiber 4000 or Fiber 6000 laser source, the Next Generation BySmart Fiber delivers outstanding cutting performance for high parts output and excellent cutting quality across thin to medium sheet metal thicknesses.

The next generation BySmart Fiber versatile performance package delivers smart access to Fiber laser technology and the following customer benefits:

  • Best-in-class Fiber laser technology and total customer support.
  • Machine platform delivers up to four times faster cutting speeds than CO2 or plasma, and uses less than half the operating costs per hour.
  • Dual motor rack and pinion bridge design for fast accelerations and cutting speeds necessary for high-speed laser processing.
  • Bystronic engineered cutting head with auto focus and focal length spot size adjustment.
  • High machine dynamics even when cutting complex contours.
  • More profit per part – fast cutting processes combined with comparatively low operating costs and low maintenance requirements.
  • Powerful, easy-to-use ByVision Cutting user interface with full 22” touch screen controls the entire manufacturing process.
