Just 0.87 in (22 mm) wide and weighing 0.22 lb (100g), the XVC-700 from Xiris Automation Inc. (Burlington, Ontario) enables automation in spaces too small for traditional welding cameras, even a 4-in (100-mm)-diameter pipe. The camera’s high dynamic range (HDR) images show everything there is to see up to 55 fps, 1280 x 1024 resolution, and 140+ dB of monochrome dynamic range.
An angled optics head reaches from 0 degrees to 90 degrees, the all-digital camera squeezes into a 22 mm x 22 mm x115 mm frame (before optics are mounted). GigE Vision interface for high-performance industrial cameras with power over Ethernet (PoE) transmission enables installations from up to 100 m away without the need for repeaters or additional cables. Maximum power consumption is 6W.
Camera also features S-mount lens holder, multiple mounting points, status LED, low power consumption, and protective glass UV/IR filter. Xiris’ WeldStudio software allows camera setup, display, record, playback, and image analysis from one screen.
