Burr-Free Cutoff Machining
Available for both electrochemical (ECG) and abrasive applications, Glebar’s Tridex CS1-E cutoff machine uses an electrochemical reaction to produce burr-free cuts on tubing from 0.012 inches to 3.15 inches in diameter.

Available for both electrochemical (ECG) and abrasive applications, the Tridex CS1-E cutoff machine from Glebar Co. (Ramsey, NJ) uses an electrochemical reaction to produce completely burr-free tube cuts when required; for example, with stainless steel tubing and small-diameter bars.
The machine can be configured as either right-handed or left-handed. This allows floor layouts of up to four machines to be operated by one person. Other benefits include:
- Burr-free, stress-free cuts
- Tight tolerances
- No metallurgical damage
- No heat affected zone
- No recast layer
- No burning or work hardening
The conductive grinding wheel, high current DC power supply, and electrolyte fluid produce accurate, burr-free, and stress-free cuts on tubing from 0.012 in to 3.15 in (0.3 mm to 80 mm) in diameter.
