Flap Disc Offerings Include New Sizes and Styles

Weiler Abrasives (Cresco, PA) expands its Tiger and Wolverine flap disc offering to include 4.5-in high-density discs in a conical style (Type 29) and more options for 5-in and 6-in grinders. The flap discs deliver varying levels of performance, depending on the user’s needs.
Composed of ceramic alumina and zirconia alumina grains, 6-in Tiger X standard-density conical flap discs are designed for maximum performance and aggressive grinding on flat steel and stainless steel surfaces. X3 technology combines an advanced anchoring system, dual flap design, and engineered backing to grind faster and last longer.
With a 100% ziroconia alumina grain that holds up under high temperatures and extreme pressure, Tiger Paw standard-density 6-in flap discs are ideal for edge grinding on steel and stainless steel. They’re also available in high-density designs for conforming to irregular surfaces. The high-density Tiger Paw is available in a 4.5-in conical style (Type 29) and 5-in and 6-in flat style (Type 27).
For general-purpose applications, 6-in Wolverine standard-density conical style (Type 29) and Wolverine high-density flat style (Type 27) zirconia alumina flap discs provide a fast cut rate and consistent performance when grinding steel or other metals.
All discs have 40, 60, and 80 grit abrasive options to provide solutions for beveling, weld grinding, blending, and finishing. The 4.5-in Tiger Paw has a 36 grit option for heavy stock removal.
The discs join a product line of power wire brushes and bonded abrasives designed for 5-in and 6-in right-angle grinders.
