A modular multifunction tool system comprising one base holder and multiple tooling adapters, the Preci-Flex from Exsys Canada Ltd. (Brampton, Ontario) enables shops to capitalize on the ER collet pocket concept for fast, accurate, and cost-effective lathe tooling changeovers.
The system’s short, compact design provides maximum torque transmission and rigidity that increases machining accuracy and improves productivity.
Its conical and flat-face planar interface allows use of an adapter or standard ER collet. Users can mount collets, endmill holders, expanding collet chucks, and shrink fit tooling into a single base holder.
Available in a range of sizes, every Preci-Flex toolholder offers repeatability within five microns. The system minimizes machine downtime and allows users to interchange tooling adapters between fixed and rotary base holders for fast, economical machining.
