Three-In-One Multi-Profile Cutting

HGG helps manufacturers confront economic challenges with the MPC 450 2.0 that offers three accurate configurations in one machine, as opposed to one machine for pipe profiling only. Supporting software connects users to the machine and facilitates programming for even complex structures.

HGG's MPC 450 2.0 configures to cut a wide variety of profiles, including pipes, box sections, angle bars, and flat sheet metal strips.

The latest multi-profile cutting machine from HGG (Houston, TX) – MPC 450 2.0 – provides a cost-effective and flexible solution for manufacturers that can no longer justify a dedicated machine for pipe profiling alone.

Easily configured to cut a wide variety of profiles, including pipes, box sections, angle bars, and flat sheet metal strips, the highly accurate 3D MPC 450 2.0 combines three machines into one versatile solution to confront current demanding economic conditions.

Users can configure the machine to (1.) cut pipes, positioning material on pipe supports and clamping it in three chuck jaws; (2.) to cut box sections, positioning material on pipe supports in specially designed rotators and then clamping it in two diagonally opposite jaws of the chuck; or (3.) to cut profiles from bar flat stock, positioning and individually fixing material on a flat cutting table.

The MPC 450 2.0 is designed for 3D production automation as an integral part of the manufacturing process, from design and work preparation to cutting and, finally, the fitting and welding of parts.

Users can easily program the machine using HGG MDI (manual data input) and/or with ProCAD software that converts CAD files into “ready to cut” formats.

In addition, HGG ProGRAM software directly links independent workstations to the MPC 450 2.0 machine, providing basic programming of end cuts to complete highly accurate part design and programming of all profile cuts, even for complex structures. A 360-degree optical laser scanner adds to the machine’s accuracy by detecting any material section distortion in advance.
