Multicyl’s Protocol Takes Aim at COVID-19

The company remains open and has put mandatory measures in place for employees and visitors to help prevent the spread of the virus. The No. 1 rule directs staff to wash hands for 20 seconds upon arriving to work and after handling incoming or shared material.

Multicyl (Bolton, ON) has established a mandatory protocol for its staff and building visitors that will guide its business practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. They’ll continue to monitor guidelines and advisories from both the Canadian government and the business community.

To its customers and suppliers, the company advises they will be holding all meetings and communications over the phone or online when possible. In-person meetings must be prearranged.

Following are the details of the protocol for employees:

  • Upon arriving at work all employees must wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. Also, upon handling of incoming or shared materials employees must wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
  • Any employee displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (dry cough, sore throat, fever or difficulty breathing) should not come to work. It will also be strongly suggested that you visit a COVID-19 evaluation centre as soon as possible.
  • Please do not allow any employees & visitors into the building that have not been approved. Any visitors must arrive through the front entrance and will be dealt with in the visitor’s area and Multicyl employees shall not come within 1 meter of the visitor.
  • Where at all possible meetings will take place via telephone or over the internet, and any in-house meetings will be by appointment only.
  • This protocol will be part of our daily routine until further notice.
  • If symptoms begin during your shift, please notify your supervisor immediately.
  • If you leave the building for any reason, please ensure proper hand hygiene protocol is always followed upon re-entry
