Space-Saving but Powerful Double-Arm Clamps
Individually adjustable arm opening angles and tolerance compensation enable Destaco’s Model 84A40-1/84A50-1 power clamps to minimize changeover times by giving welders more flexibility. Don’t worry about harsh operating environments because contaminants can’t penetrate the enclosed design.

Despite their compact double-arm design, Destaco’s (Auburn Hills, MI) pneumatically powered Model 84A40-1/84A50-1 clamps with tolerance compensation provide enough force to hold sheet metal together during welding applications. Each arm’s 90-degree opening angle is independently adjustable, making for versatile, space-saving installation.
“The individually adjustable arm opening angles and tolerance-compensation feature allow for maximum flexibility, enabling customers to minimize installation effort and changeover times, which ultimately reduces their costs,” says Stefan Eggers, Destaco’s vice president and general manager, Europe/Asia and Global Automotive.
Three sets of arms are available for the smaller 84A40-1 model; four for the 84A50-1. Like the company’s 82M-3E and TCC-2E power clamps, the double-arm clamps have two-part sensing and are available in three sensor variants, such as PNP (switched positive) and NPN (switched negative).
The clamps’ closed design means they’re sealed from external contamination and can be used in harsh operating environments. Lifetime lubrication makes them practically maintenance-free.
