New Blending and Grinding Wheel Size Meets Industry Demand
Rex-Cut Abrasives is improving the daily grind for customers worldwide by manufacturing three types of Type 27 depressed-center grinding and blending wheels in a 6-inch version.

With 6-inch diameters becoming increasingly popular within the metalworking industry, Type 27 depressed-center Aluminator, Max Flex, and cotton-fiber grinding and blending wheels from Rex-Cut Abrasives (Fall River, MA) are now available in a 6-inch-diameter.
“We’re manufacturing these sizes to make sure our customers have the abrasives they need for all tooling options,” says R&D Manager Jon Blake. “They offer considerable performance and productivity advantages in many fabrication applications.”
Aluminator grinding wheels are available in 6 x 7/8, A36.
Max Flex is available in 6 x 7/8, A36 and 6 x 7/8, A54.
Cotton-fiber is available in:
- 6 x 1/4 x 7/8, A36 GFX
- 6 x 1/4 x 7/8, A54 GFX
- 6 x 1/4 x 7/8, A24 MTX
Rex-Cut products are specialized for use on stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, and exotic metals.
