Coherent Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) offers a fully integrated EasyMark desktop laser marking system with an expanded working range and longer focal lengths: the EasyMark XL with marking fields up to 240 mm x 240 mm.
Because the processing head can be moved by 120 mm on a precision rail, larger workpieces with variable thickness can be marked in one operation. The larger working area allows for batch processing of small parts for increased efficiency.
The EasyMark XL includes a number of 3-nanosecond, infrared fiber lasers: the economical PowerLine F20; high-speed PowerLine F50; and the PowerLine F20 Varia, which meets the highest quality requirements by adjusting pulse width to optimize the heat input. Other options include a rotary axis for marking round parts and the software package APP Suite, which enables effects such as 3D depth engraving.
Thanks to the broad range of options, the system can be configured to provide optimum results for applications ranging from marking codes on stainless steel medical devices to deep engraving of casting molds and stamps.
