The 4000 series controller from Pryor Technology Inc. (Ashland, VA) links to the company’s range of dot, scribe, and laser marking machines as well as its portable, benchtop and production line integration models. Developed in-house, the robust controller is aimed at the industrial sector and has a wide range of design features.
A 10.4-inch industrial-grade touchscreen with larger buttons, which can be operated while wearing gloves, provides easy on-screen editing with drag-and-drop options and a live preview of what’s being marked. Password protection is standard so operators can easily perform error-free marking.
Completely upgraded electronics allow far more intensive data processing. Also, expandable I/O allows many more controls and sensors to be integrated.
The controller is offered in benchtop, battery-powered, and panel mount versions. The operator interface is now fully customizable, allowing manufacturers to have their own labels and images.
PC-based software suite allows full traceability in manufacturing processes, which is vital to securing quality outputs.
