With a maximum payload of 1,102 pounds (500 kg), the PL500 robot from Yaskawa America Inc. Motoman Robotics Division (Dayton, OH) efficiently enables a variety of palletizing applications, order picking and other logistical tasks for end-of-line or distribution automation.
Designed with parallel-link construction and heavy-duty bearings to easily manage large, unbalanced loads, the robot features extremely fast axis speeds and acceleration to reduce cycle times for increased production. Internally routed airlines and electric cables maximize reliability, while a 60-mm pass-through on the T-axis enables easy connection to end-of-arm tooling.
