Waterjet Cutter Produces Virtually No Taper
With a cutting area of 10 feet by 5 feet, 2 inches and a multiaxis cutting head that automatically removes the taper, Omax’s Maxiem 1530 produces clean, precise cuts in common sheet metal plate sizes with room to spare. The waterjet system includes pump and software.

Guided by control software that automatically compensates for taper, OMAX Corp.’s (Kent, WA) Maxiem 1530 JetMachining Center consistently cuts clean, square edges. With its 0-to-60-degree cutting range, Tilt-A-Jet cutting head easily cuts beveled edges, angled sides, and countersinks. Cutting area of 10 feet by 5 feet, 2 inches enables the waterjet cutter to handle common sheet metal plate sizes with room to spare.
IntelliTRAX linear drive system uses brushless servo motors, integrated servo drives, and high-precision linear encoders to provide constant and continuous feedback on cutting head position. The nozzle moves swiftly and smoothly along the X-Y axis to achieve +/- 0.003-inch accuracy of motion.
Intelli-MAX software suite supports more than 90 file formats including standard 2D DXF files and advanced 3D shapes, allowing users to import vector graphics, 3D files, raster graphics, CAD files, and more. Most third-party CAD/CAM and nesting software systems can output directly to the controller software, enabling users to achieve the same results while continuing to use their current programs.
Rapid water level control allows for quiet and clean submerged cutting.
