Mazak Optonics Corp. (Elgin, IL) adds a 7kW machine to its Optiplex Nexus 3015 Fiber laser-cutting lineup. Like its 4kW predecessor, the Optiplex Nexus 3015 Fiber S7 is designed with variable beam parameter product (V-BPP) so operators can improve quality by using the best beam shape for a particular part.
V-BPP enables users to select from high-intensity, small-spot-size beam to large, donut-shaped beams, and everything in between. Beam-shaping technology delivers optimal thick and thin metal cutting, higher cutting speed, superior edge quality, and improved piercing time.
In addition to helping simplify setup and operation, Mazatrol PreviewG CNC control helps maximize machine utilization and avoid unexpected down time by providing real-time cutting metrics and maintenance data. Active Live Camera Nesting allows operators to quickly and easily process additional parts on demand without delay.
A large side access door and flexible configuration includes an automated two-pallet design.
