Kern Laser Systems’ FC50 FiberCELL is equipped with a LaserMech FiberMINI processing head featuring a user-friendly beam delivery system. Weighing 3,700 pounds and measuring 50 by 52 inches, the machine provides a 3-inch part clearance.

Available in six power levels ranging from 0.5W to 3W and featuring a compact 50-by-52-inch footprint, the FiberCELL from Kern Laser Systems (Wadena, MN) is a space-saving and safe sheet metal fabricating system. A Class 1 safety enclosure featuring gull wing doors and sliding polycarbonate windows that filter harmful laser wavelengths keep the operator and other employees safe without complicating part loading and unloading.

Laser Mechanisms Inc. (LaserMech) FiberMINI AutoFocus (AF) fiber laser processing head cuts stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, brass and copper. Kern’s automatic focusing height follower optimizes cutting by tracking the surface and adjusting the nozzle in the Z-axis to maintain a constant focus point. Optic drawer allows for easy replacement of protective F-Lens.

In addition to CorelDRAW with PDF converter, the machine comes with KCAM cutting and engraving software suite that allows for complete CNC control of motion and laser modulation. Dwell delay ensures the laser completely pierces the metal before cutting begins. Nozzle air pressure can be set independently for the laser dwell, normal laser cutting and jog between parts. The laser’s modulation frequency can be set from 500 to 50,000 Hz to achieve a dross-free cut that eliminates the need for a secondary deburring process.

HyperDual motion package with rack-and-pinion design driven by servo motors at each side of the table produces smooth cut radiuses and quick acceleration rates. The X-axis is powered by linear motors.

Dual-channel closed-loop chilling unit extends laser life. Downdraft table with vacuum blower secures sheet during processing while removing fumes and debris.

Built on a heavy-duty steel weldment, the one-piece base greatly reduces installation time by enabling the machine to arrive fully assembled.

Options include K-vision camera system, rotary device for pipes, LaserMech programmable beam delivery, and fume extraction filter system with inline spark arrestor.
