Suhner Machining Offers New Videos with Tips, Procedures for Automated Tools
Suhner Machining has launched a new series of videos on YouTube about the assembly and maintenance of Suhner automated tools.
Posted: June 10, 2021
In the videos, filmed at the headquarters of parent Suhner Industrial Products Corp. (Rome, GA), assembly and maintenance are explained by Lee Coleman, a longtime Suhner team leader and division manager–machining. The “hands on” demonstrations are meant for customers or maintenance personnel currently using or planning to use Suhner automated tools in their shops or production facilities.
“We made these videos as the first in a series,” says Coleman. “Our goal is to help customers and trainers impart the proper procedures for maintenance and assembly of our automated drills, taps, and other tools, which are used extensively in automotive and other high-volume production facilities, contract job shops, and elsewhere.”
The company is planning a number of videos to assist operators and especially maintenance personnel in the proper care and handling of these high-precision automated tools, many of which typically perform thousands of operations in a single shift on the production line.
The first four videos cover the SPINDLEmaster Max 100, specifically general unit maintenance, flag nut adjustment, proximity switch adjustment, and spring adjustment.
