Bosch Rexroth Improves Adaptive Weld Control with PRC7000

New from Bosch Rexroth Corp. (Charlotte, NC), the PRC7000 controller family improves adaptive weld control for automotive manufacturing.

Posted: July 19, 2021

The PRC7000 weld controller from Bosch Rexroth helps auto manufacturers commission faster, maximize availability and flexibility, increase energy efficiency, and simplify handling.

Welding processes in the automotive industry must meet strict requirements for process safety and welding quality. The PRC7000 helps auto manufacturers commission faster, maximize availability and flexibility, increase energy efficiency, and simplify handling.

With its innovative software tools and modular design, this welding control technology enables faster commissioning. The PRC7000 offers easy integration with factory systems, and up to 10,000 welding programs can be stored to help accelerate manufacturing processes. The adaptive controller provides high weld control quality, allowing for precise adjustment of the welding current to eliminate expulsion and costly reworking. With an energy-efficient design and adaptive welding with idle standby, the PRC7000 reduces power loss and enables the use of smaller, more compact cooling systems.

The PRC7000 is built with a dual-processor architecture that enables high data transfer rates without impacting the welding process control. An integrated web server allows wireless operation and real-time diagnostics via mobile device.

The adaptive controller is available in two models: the PRC7300 operates at 600A peak current, the PRC7400 operates at 1,600A peak current.
