The new business unit was created to provide machinery sales, assembly, installation, training, and service to support the company’s expansion into the fabrication equipment market.
Prevish has 25 years of experience in the manufacturing industry and has progressed through a variety of sales and sales management positions for leading metal fabrication OEMs and service providers. Prevish has a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology from the University of Dayton (Dayton, OH) and has an MBA from St. John Fisher College (Rochester, NY).
Earlier this year, United Precision Services announced plans to broaden its line of machine tools to include fabrication equipment. According to Danie Jacobs, president of United Precision, Prevish’s experience in the fabrication industry is instrumental to the company’s immediate and longer-term plans to serve the fabricating industry.
“United Precision is committed to the metal fabrication industry, and we’re fortunate to have a veteran like John Prevish in a leadership position,” Jacobs said. “John brings with him a wealth of practical, hands-on experience and a track record of success. Throughout his career, fabricators of all sizes have come to trust John in helping to identify best equipment investments to improve productivity, expand capabilities, and accelerate their ROI. We welcome John to the management team and look forward to his contributions.”
“United Precision has long been an established and respected name throughout the industry,” Prevish said. “I’m excited to join United Precision and for the opportunity to put innovative metal processing capabilities within reach of fabricators throughout North America.”
