Flow International Corporation, the world’s leading developer and manufacturer of ultrahigh-pressure waterjet cutting solutions will display an innovation-packed booth at IMTS in booth 236207. The full waterjet line up will feature live cutting on the Mach 500, their flagship system designed for ultimate uptime and productivity, the Mach 200, a flexible and practical waterjet solution offering bevel cutting capabilities and untouchable value, and the all-new EchoJet fully enclosed waterjet solution. Attendees will experience the new MotoJet X intensifier pump in action and FlowXpert Infinity 2D & 3D software demonstrations. In addition to the impressive display of new technology, Flow will be joined by special guest Brandon Jones and the Joe Gibbs Racing #19 Flow Xfinity NASCAR race car on display. IMTS will be held September 12–17, 2022, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
“We’re beyond excited to be back at IMTS,” says Tim Fabian, VP of Marketing and Product Management at Flow. “Our R&D teams have been diligently focused on next level innovation, developing solutions designed to elevate operator efficiencies, and increasing value for our customers. We can’t wait to share the exciting new developments and game-changing technology advancements with customers and attendees in Chicago.”
Flow will be unveiling the all-new EchoJet solution in the 1313-sized format configured with the HyPlex Prime direct drive pump. The EchoJet is a unique, fully enclosed waterjet solution designed to improve operator efficiency while protecting the surrounding environment from water and abrasive. This enclosed, compact design mirrors the traditional machine tool look and feel, with the flexibility to cut virtually any material and shape. “The EchoJet is designed with a similar aesthetic to a traditional CNC system, but it’s a high-performing waterjet capable of cutting various materials and delivering 5-axis parts,” say Fabian. The system touts an innovative gantry design to optimize the work envelope while minimizing overall footprint, improved part accessibility, easy-close sliding doors, worktable lighting, and more, all at an enticing price point.
“The EchoJet truly is a shift in the design of waterjet. It pairs the nearly unlimited flexibility of waterjet with full containment to protect nearby equipment in your shop. It’s an ideal solution for machine shops, fabrication shops, R&D facilities, and more,” says Fabian. “Additionally, the value to investment ratio is something we’ve been working to deliver to waterjet users for years with this type of system design.”
Flow will also be highlighting the MotoJet X, the industry’s first intensifier pump the customer never has to rebuild, designed to outlast and out-perform with a 95% uptime guarantee. The MotoJet X features state-of-the-art advancements focused on improving usability and nearly eliminating hands-on customer maintenance.
Additionally, attendees will experience live software demonstrations with FlowXpert Infinity, Flow’s revolutionary new software that encompasses all 2D and 3D cutting. “FlowXpert Infinity is comprehensive, powerful, and easy to use. It’s capable of powering your entire shop,” says Fabian. The solution reduces draw time, is optimized specifically for waterjet, and brings even the most advanced features to the entire Flow Mach Series of systems. FlowXpert Infinity is the only fully integrated, non-third-party software by an OEM waterjet provider that allows customers to go from art to part in full 3D. It offers automatic software updates and premium performance.
Of special note, Flow will host Brandon Jones from the winningest team in NASCAR history, Joe Gibbs Racing. Brandon Jones drove the #19 Flow waterjet car to victory in Kansas City and will be on-site at IMTS in the Flow booth signing autographs for fans on Tuesday, September 13 from 12 to 1:30 PM. The #19 car will be parked in the Flow booth for the duration of the show.
“It’s been an honor and a privilege to partner with the team at Joe Gibbs Racing. To be a part of their winning legacy is truly something special. We’re excited to bring some of the excitement from real world waterjet implementation on the NASCAR track to IMTS for fans,” concludes Fabian.
Application specialists will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate how Flow’s waterjet technology provides fast and highly accurate cutting at every price point.
