Unist’s new Pulse R electronic control.

Unist’s new Pulse R™ electronic control is backwards compatible with new and existing 24VDC Coolubricator™, Saw Blade Lube™, and Serv-O-Spray™ Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) systems. The Pulse R™ ties into the system control solenoid valve and takes the place of a pneumatic pulse generator timer or logic block. Pulse R’s™ simple, two-button interface makes adjustment easy and an easy-to-read display helps operators maintain accuracy and consistency between jobs. The Pulse R™ control is equipped with fault monitoring and visual feedback of output and input status giving the operator confidence that the MQL system is performing properly. Four operating modes allow the Pulse R™ to deliver either continuous output or intermittent output with one or multiple ‘shots’ of fluid and allow for actuation on either power-up or from an input trigger signal. Pulse R™ also includes a locking feature to prevent tampering.

About Unist

Unist has been manufacturing MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) solutions for metal cutting since 1957.  Unist’s MQL solutions apply a minute amount of a high-quality lubricant such as Unist’s Coolube® directly into the cutting tool/workpiece interface resulting in decreased fluid usage, cleaner & safer shops and floors, and improved cut quality and tool life.  Other benefits include clean, dry chips for easy and more profitable recycling, the elimination of costly coolant treatment equipment and coolant disposal costs, as well as a potential 20-50% increase in production rates.

Pairing a Unist System with high-quality, 100% natural, vegetable-based Coolube™ lubricant, makes for machining operations which are as friendly to the environment as they are to workers’ skin.
