Tag Feeding? No Problem!

Kwik Mark Inc. Tag Master 3 uses dot peen technology to permanently mark industrial components.

Posted: March 23, 2024

The automatic feeder/marker was developed to eliminate the problematic tag feeding issues of escaping tags from the bottom of the magazine.  The tags are transferred from the top to eliminate the jamming, scratching and other problems associated with bottom feed “coin changer” type escapements.  This also means thickness tolerance, sharp edges, etc. are no longer issues.  Available with Print Queue Driver, allowing multiple users to download job menus, variables, quantities, etc.

Other advantages of the Tag Master include:

  • Not affected by weight of stack (or near empty/full magazine)
  • Solid steel support block at marking station
  • Much faster changeover if using tags of different size and thickness
  • No changeover tooling required
  • Clear, open line of sight of all work and transfer areas
  • Easy to expand into other processes such as sorting, re-stacking, etc.
Easily Removable from the Kwik Mark Marker

This self-contained unit just slides over the marker and plugs in. The display includes:

  • Batch Counter
  • Cycle Timer
  • Percent of Completion
  • Current Status
  • Production History Log
