Heck Industries began like many other companies: inside a two-car garage over 50 years ago. We have great memories of the friends and family who helped us grow the business and build our first product, the Trace-A-Punch bench model nibbling machine that was used for making try-out blanks in new metal forming dies. Our president, Phil Heck, still recalls how his dad and his buddies would load up station wagons with machines on Sunday and then hit the road selling on Monday, traveling from Detroit to Cleveland, Chicago or Milwaukee, making cold calls and hopefully returning with empty cars.

That garage shop is long gone, but many of those same machines that were sold 50 years ago are still cutting parts. Now, still family-owned and transitioning into our third generation, with all of that experience building tools and dies in Detroit behind us, Heck still builds nibblers and manufactures several other unique metalworking machines. We built our first plate beveler over 25 years ago and now offer over a dozen models, including hand-operated, power feed and bench top machines, even machines used for weld removal.

Our sales territory has expanded from that original half-day drive into a worldwide footprint that spans the globe. We owe our success to many of our local suppliers that have contributed high-quality parts, along with a skilled dealer network. Heck Industries builds the best products in the world here in Michigan, but what we’re most proud of is our second-to-none customer service. Here at Heck, every customer is treated like family.
