EASTEC 2009

Our Show-In-Print showcases the machines, equipment and systems being exhibited at the East Coast’s largest annual manufacturing event, which takes place May 19-21 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, MA. Don?t miss it.

TAKE HIGH SPEED MACHINING TO NEW LEVELS

Okuma offers the MB-56V, setting the bar for efficiency and utility. Impressive thermal stability and zero table overhang allow for tight tolerances and extreme accuracy. The construction is based on solid FEM analysis and a rapid spindle traverse with Hi-G acceleration. A maximum machining volume of 1050/560/460 and the ability to add 4- and 5-axis capabilities makes this machine extremely versatile.

NEW SINGLE MITER AUTOMATIC BAND SAW SUITED FOR JOB SHOPS

Hyd-Mech Group Ltd. has released the new SM10CNC single miter, automatic band saw. SM10CNC is another addition to Hyd-Mech?s extensive product line up. This model features a 10 in round or 7 ¾ in x 11 in capacity at 90 deg, 1 in blade, 2.5 hp direct drive inverter blade drive with variable band speed (50-330 sfm), and 60 deg one way mitering. Variable vise pressure is standard.

HIGH PRECISION, COST EFFECTIVE WATERJET TECHNOLOGY

Knuth Machine Tools USA, Inc. offers its improved Hydro-Jet Eco 0615, a high precision, low cost waterjet cutting system. The Hydro-Jet allows small business owners the ability to manage deadlines and quality control by bringing outsourced work in-house.

FLAT BAR SHEAR DESIGNED FOR HIGH PRODUCTION END-USERS

Scotchman® Industries will feature their ShearMaster 610 Production Flat Bar Shear. Designed with the high production end-user in mind, this machine combines large capacity with many standard features, turning it into a high production shear. The ShearMaster 610 has the capability of shearing 1 in x 12 in base plate and up to 1/2 in x 24 in flat stock.

3-TURRET MULTI-TASKING TURNING CENTER DRAMATICALLY REDUCES CYCLE TIMES

Methods Machine Tools Inc. offers a multitasking turning center from Nakamura-Tome which offers 100 percent stock-on turning and machining that virtually eliminates lost productivity due to tool changes. The Super NTY3 has three turrets, each with a Y axis ? all in a relatively small footprint (109.45 in W x 77.6 in D). It dramatically outperforms single-tool multitasking machines, allowing one-pass complete turning/machining/finishing and reducing part cycle times.

LASER CUTTING MACHINE OFFERS SIMPLICITY, COMPACT DESIGN

Bystronic offers a laser cutting machine that is specifically designed to deal with the majority of parts manufactured by most customers in the industry today. ByVention offers users distinctly unique advantages such as simplicity, a compact size, a clever material flow concept, reassuring performance and system completeness.

LASER CUTTING MACHINE ENGINEERED TO PROVIDE HIGH-SPEED PROCESSING, ULTRA-PRECISION

Amada America offers the LC-3015F1NT, engineered to provide high-speed processing, ultra-precise accuracy, superior cutting quality and full-range capabilities. The innovative design of this series also provides an extremely flexible, user-friendly layout in a remarkably small footprint. Featuring a 3-axis linear drive system, no lens change technology plus ultra-fast piercing and cutting, the LC-3015F1NT takes productivity to a new level.

SERIES PROVIDES THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN MACHINE, CNC AND LASER RESONATOR TECHNOLOGIES

Amada America offers the Pulsar NT series, which provides the latest developments in machine, CNC and laser resonator technologies. The Pulsar NT is designed for the high-volume, short-run production of sheet metal parts, featuring reliable high-speed processing, easy material loading, and automated unloading of multiple parts.
