U.S. Manufacturers Tour Kaiser Switzerland

Visitors on the tour were shown a 30-year-old tool body that had just been returned by a manufacturer for repair work. Operations from product and fixture design to rough and finish machining and assembly are done on two levels of the original Kaiser factory. A flexible production process supports lot sizes from one to 1,000, but typical lots are 10 to 150 pieces.

FMA and NAM Partner to Achieve Goal of 500,000 Industry Certifications

Over the past year, the certification partners have issued 117,189 certifications, an increase of over 30 percent, bringing the total to 294,478 certifications issued since 2011. With 80 percent of manufacturers citing a moderate to severe shortage of skilled workers, this is an important step in closing the skills gap and increasing the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturing.

Lincoln Electric Helps Fabricate Vehicles Used in Action-Packed Movie

To achieve the custom vehicles for Need for Speed, numerous Lincoln Electric products were used during the fabrication process, including multiple POWER MIG® welders, a Tomahawk® 375 Air plasma cutting system and a Precision TIG® 375 welder. They also utilized a variety of Red Line™ welding apparel and VIKING™ auto-darkening helmets.
