Eye and Face Protection
Eye and face protection equipment are some of the most common forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This category includes devices that shield the eyes and sensitive areas of the face from injury during the fabricating process. Some examples of eye and face protection include safety spectacles (that may incorporate side shields), goggles that fit completely over the eyes, welding shields made of vulcanized rubber or fiberglass to protect the entire face, laser safety goggles, and transparent face shields to protect against splashes and sprays. These types of PPE can be used together or separately, depending on the needs of the task.
